Download Audacity 2.0.3
This has improved a lot.

Download all the plugins from 
Exit from audacity If it is open.
Unzip this file and copy all the dlls in the below directory. Or the directory in which you have installed Audacity within that find Plugins directory and copy the dlls.

Dear friends, many of us are interested in recording our voice or instrument at home or in studio. So we need to learn a simple application that supports recording, editing, putting effects to your recording etc. Although many sophisticated software's are available in the market but they are not free, they are expensive. AUDACITY is free downloadable software and is very simple to use. I have collected the links \ information from different sources.     Avinesh, I've been using Audacity since the very basic version was introduced and have been using it since, for all my recording requirements. Even professional. It's one fantastic software and the best part is it's free. Entirely.

    Hats off to you, for posting such a good guide. I'd been meaning to do it, but simply could not. You've actually done it !! It's a very, very big help to those using the software for the first time. Simple, yet powerful. It's not easy and is time consuming, but you have done a wonderful job.
